Job description / Role
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Energy Assistant Manager is responsible to assist the Engineering Manager in ensuring the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, Some of the responsibility would be as below:
- Budgeting and business planning.
- Fire and life safety management.
- Compliance and audit management (Fire & life safety, ISO 14001, Dubai municipality, DTCM, DST, DCD, SIRA, HACCP etc.).
- Conducting ISO 14001 EMS Internal Audits.
- Conducting internal energy audits.
- Contract management.
- In-house projects coordinating (Fire alarm, CCTV system upgrades, Major equipment replacements, etc.).
- Energy optimization.
- Monitoring and managing utility consumption.
- Leading the Green team.
- Sustainable operation management and Carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
- Implementing green initiatives and improving energy efficiency.
- Managing the plant room assets, preparing PPM schedules and ensuring the integrity of the equipment.
- Managing the plant room team.
- Data analysis and uploading (Ecotrack, DST, etc.).
- Conducting departmental trainings and onboarding programs.
- Conducting the sustainability session for the staff orientation program.
Requirements
Ideally the candidate should have a degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management. Knowledge in preventive maintenance programme and special projects will be valuable. Technical knowledge of Plant Room, Energy Management, HACCP Knowledge,fire main systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics will be an advantage. Computer literate, card knowledge is an advantage .Good communication skills.
About the Company
Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport.
