Job Description
The Arabic program within the University College invites applications for a post at the Assistant Professor level in our undergraduate program to commence in August 2021.
Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level within the Arabic program, some or all the following would be an advantage: Discourse Analysis, Arabic for Specific Purposes, and some General Education courses. The teaching load will be 5 courses per semester (15 hours per week).
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
Ideal candidates will have an earned Ph.D. in Linguistics from a reputable university. Ability to teach a range of undergraduate courses using Arabic as the language of instruction. Prior university-level teaching experience.
Preferred Qualification
Native or near-native proficiency in English.
