Job Description
The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position. Qualified candidates at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments.

Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University.

The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of current/future research activities, teaching philosophy, and courses taught. Role Description:
- Teach and Supervise UAEU Master of Genetic Counseling students
- Undertake research in areas of genetic counseling, communication, and the clinical application of genomics
- Assists in variant classification based on emerging scientific information
- Develop education and other materials related to the Master of Genetic Counseling Program and other areas within the Department of Genetics and Genomics, UAEU
- Participate in the medical genetics, genetic counseling, and patient advocacy communities
- Provide genetic counseling and facilitation of the communication of test results

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- PhD Degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
- Genetic Counseling Board-certification

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
-Two years experience at Academic Institution for Master Program of Genetic counseling.
-Two years experience at diagnostic laboratory or in a clinical position familiarity with human mutation databases, genome browsers, and HGVS nomenclature
