This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain manager with a minimum of two years’ experience as a Supply Chain Executive within the FMCG business. Our client is a very high profile organization which manages the sales and marketing of a range of premium global beverages in the Middle East. With a market share of 60% in Dubai, it is the leading operator in the UAE, as well as Oman, Bahrain and Qatar.

The Assistant Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for integrating the needs of the brands Sales and Marketing teams, the internal Supply Chain team and outside suppliers to ensure optimal execution of the planning and replenishment of the brand’s products. You will ensure timely replenishment of stocks based on historical sales, sales forecasts and available market information whilst at the same time optimizing efficiency in maintain the appropriate inventory levels. You will liaise with suppliers/principals to establish optimal communication and execution of logistics systems, policies and procedures.

Additionally you will control and safeguard the import of all of the brand products, cost and pricing of transportation and quality of warehouse storage and inventory management. Working with the Sales, Marketing and Finance teams along with external suppliers and freight forwarders and contractors you will monitor and evaluate customer demands and make recommendations where appropriate whilst challenging the forecast developed through systems and operational team for responsibility taking appropriate action towards demand planning. You will ensure there is a robust system for customer complaints, quotations and resolutions in place. You will define safety stock levels, economic order quantity (EOQ) consolidation route and regularly review lead time across end to end supply chain to meet agreed service level targets, establishing and communicating inventory plans with all stakeholders.

Requirements

You will drive the weekly out of stock and excess stock meetings and carry out opinion analysis and scenario building in developing the most effective inventory strategies for the region. Additionally you will identify potential inventory liabilities/issues and take appropriate action managing the impact through the business and demonstrating high end knowledge of inventory planning techniques with experience of inventory optimization processes and tools.

Establishing key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting; measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis and present results to senior management, you will also ensure an effective and efficient two way communication process exists with all members of the consumer team, other internals teams, supply chain and invoicing and shipment team.

You must be technically very proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access in order to utilize the systems for data analysis and reporting. You will interact with customs and other government departments to ensure smooth functioning of the brands supply chain needs and you will contribute proactively to continuous improvement activities within the department. Additionally you will understand and implement individual principal contract requirements on supply chain side and ensure smooth running of operational activities of direct market customers whilst overseeing all point of sales material for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.

It Is essential that the successful candidate has at least two years’ experience in the UAE supply chain and has the ability to deal with staff at all levels and external parties in a persuasive and firm manner. You will appreciate customer service to both internal and external customers and will have proven skills and experience in drafting reports. With an advanced knowledge of ERP system and MS Office Suite, you will have a very strong customer focus, a passion for what you do along with integrity and analytical thinking. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to own, plan and organise whilst working as a very strong team player.

Ideally you will have a knowledge of local market environment & trends, government policy and regulatory requirements along with a good knowledge of the liquor industry and FMCG business or/ and Food & beverage industry.
