Job description / Role
- Conduct routine inspections in the allocated operational sites to ensure compliance and conformity to company’s Food Safety Management System and local regulations.
- Conduct job specific, section wise trainings for the food handlers addressing the identified training needs in the operational sites.
- Investigate and follow through all food complaints from clients/customers or food safety related issues with concerned suppliers/ sections of operations and implement necessary corrective actions in coordination with the Food Safety Manager with required communication throughout the operations.
- Monitor, update and maintain the food safety documentation in the allocated locations, appropriate to the food safety standards of the company.
- Assist the Food Safety Manager in maintaining documentation related to the department functions.
- Execute in-house/ out sourced calibration of monitoring equipment as per the requirement of the operations in coordination with the Food Safety specialists.
- Analyze the operations varying sites to identify hazards or compliance to the system and update the food safety manager of findings that warrants a review or amendment of the current system
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance of their operations with the company’s requirements and standards.
- Enhance procedures in coordination with the Food Safety Manager to improve food hygiene and food safety standards of suppliers.
- Represent the company in meetings related to Food Safety organized by regulators, clients or any related agencies.
- Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
* Bachelor degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or similar field
* Knowledge of laws and regulations related to food production and services.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing quality assurance and /or food safety programs in food operations/ services.
