The Challenge

Mubadala Real Estate & Infrastructure (MREI) has over 5bn USD invested in multiple real estate asset classes in the UAE, as well as an extensive land bank in the UAE that it continues develop. In addition, MREI recently initiated a global investment strategy whereby it will deploy capital into real estate assets outside the UAE diversified by geography, property type, and investment style.

MREI will rely on direct investments facilitated by best in class JV partners to build scale and achieve its objectives.

The Associate Real Estate Investments will be an active member of the deal team, supporting the screening, due diligence and execution on a diverse range of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in the sourcing and evaluation of potential new business opportunities for the Unit, including identification of targets, screening, preparation of business cases and transaction execution
- Participate in all aspects of the deal execution process, including due diligence, financial modelling, negotiation, execution and integration of transactions
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all key stakeholders, including internal / external executive management, financial and legal advisors, and participate in outreach to the broader investment community.
- Provide coaching and support to junior analysts on the team.

Requirements

Qualifications
Knowledge, skills and experience

- Bachelor degree in business administration or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a top-tier investment bank, accounting firm focused on due diligence or a principal investment platform focused on commercial real estate
- Strong business acumen with experience in critically evaluating business and investment opportunities.
- Superior quantitative skills and complex financial modeling capabilities
- Proven ability to manage complex projects under significant time pressure
- Strong organizational skills
- Autonomous and proactive
- Delivering results and meeting expectations
- Excellent business English
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft (World, Excel and Power Point)
