Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The job holder will be responsible for overall business management of Homeware categories and ensure the development, implementation and management of the category business plans to maximize sales and profit

DO - Key Responsibilities

1. Category Growth and Profitability

- Drive Revenue goals for the assigned category by developing a clear plan of action (business plan) for the financial year

- Drive and monitor gross margins for the category and ensure achievement against profitability targets set for the assigned category

- Identify growth opportunities for the category in revenue. Work with other stake holders to drive sales growth strategies.

- Track all relevant e-com metrices to manage category performances against plan. Ensure achievement against revenue, growth targets, category views, conversion, AOV. Recommend and coordinate action to ensure achievement against the plan.

2. Category Merchandise Planning

- Study trends from historical data around product category sales and market research to assist in the overall product portfolio development. Map competition prices / products and provide qualitative inputs to the business

- Propose and own the merchandise plans (pricing, promotion, assortment etc) for the category with the Merchandise Planning department. Plan promotion/event for E-commerce Homeware sales.

- Acquire market intelligence & analyze category trends which may impact our business.

- Ensure adherence to financial plan in all key areas - sales, markdowns, margin & average inventory . Forecast products & quantities for the sale and ensuring the inventory/stock availability.

- Work with Buyers to ensure that EC exclusives are meeting the business goals of sufficient range, sell throughs and revenue.

3. Content & Online Promotion

- Ensure that the range is represented rightly on E-Com/Website. Ensure that Homeware category has been adequately merchandized on the website using available assets.

- Ensure all active items available for E-Com are live and listed with the right pricing

- Ensure timely testing of links and implementation on the e-commerce portal

- Recommend ecommerce store promotions in consultation with the Buyers, Retail Ops & Marketing

- Ensure all required communications for the promotions is developed, designed within the timeline

- Weekly reports on category (Top Seller, Ageing analysis, Ecom Exclusive Sharing, Etc.)
