Automation Developer

Job description / Role

The primary function of a GRC automation developer is to develop, maintain and integrate applications and productivity tools to assist G42 Cloud deliver and maintain GRC reports, dashboards and workflows in eventually supporting a large number of tasks related to management system, risk management and certification across the organization. The overall requirement is to ensure automation of repetitive tasks to drive optimal utilization of resources.

Responsibilities:
- Write clean, testable, secure, and dynamic codes based on standard web development best practices
- Build and maintain innovative web applications and websites using modern development tools
- Develop, integrate and check if the CSS, HTML, and JavaScript are accurate and consistent across different apps
- Integrate back-end data services and improve current API data services
- Document and continuously update the development process, project components, and task progress based on business requirements
- Design and maintain databases
- Optimize performance by performing UI and back-end tests
- Scale, deploy, expand and improve applications
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting on apps
- Collaborate with project managers, auditors, GRC officer to complete project requirements
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders and other teams when needed
- Update on current industry trends and emerging technologies and apply them to the development process

Skills:
- Background in security and accessibility compliance (depending on the project requirements)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders
- Strong project management skills
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills

Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or other related fields
- Proven experience as a Laravel and PHP Developer for at-least 6 years
- Core knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Zend, Symfony, etc.)
- Expert understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming
- Top-notch skills in building SQL Schema design, REST API design, and SOLID principles
- Expert knowledge with MVC and fundamental design principles
- Proficiency with software testing using PHPUnit, PHPSpect, or Behat
- Expert knowledge in SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases is a plus
