Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Customer Service department has functional responsibility for the management of vehicles from their importation up to their delivery to dealer prior to retail sale and subsequently has responsibility for dealer performance in all aspects of customer interaction after the sale of a new car.

The two key responsibilities for the Homologation Specialist are firstly to ensure that products planned for the market comply with regulatory requirements and are homologated in time for sale; secondly liaison with the regulatory bodies in respect of non-compliance and alleged safety and compliance issues resulting from customer use.

• Working in conjunction with the HQ Safety, Regulation and Homologation team, ensure the timely processing of homologation requirements to meet vehicle on-sale dates in market.
• Monitor regulatory revisions and identify regulatory requirements unique to country / market as appropriate to each model, model year and derivative and make recommendations to internal management on opportunities to develop the product portfolio to increase segment share.
• Act as a focal point for safety and compliance issues identified in market and ensure that the market view is properly communicated to the central team for resolution. Make assessments of the necessary response to the regulatory body and liaise directly with them at market level and assist the co-ordination of global responses to them.
• In the case of mandated action required by the regulatory body tale responsibility for ensuring that the market actions undertaken meet the regulatory requirements and are fully supported by the central teams.
• Travel mainly to Saudi Arabia

Requirements

• Performance of all homologation activities of vehicles for sale in market, incl. preparation of national homologation documentation.
• Organization and support vehicle homologation testing at production sites.
• Organization and support Conformity of Production audits and GSO audits at production sites.
• Support spare parts and accessorize homologation activities.
• Support Product team to launch product on time with proper documentation and local certifications readiness.
• Gather and study all market specific consumer regulation and coordinate with relative department and dealers to ensure compliance
• Coordinate with other automotive OE to ensure common approach to the market
