Employment: Full Time

Synopsis

To manage and direct aviation security trainings for relevant Etihad staff and contracted security personnel, who are managed/supervised by Etihad Aviation Security Department, in accordance with the Etihad Aviation Security Program (ASTP) and applicable regulations.

Accountabilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain Etihad ASTP in compliance with the UAE National Civil Aviation Security Training Program (NCASTP), Etihad and IOSA standards, and applicable regulations of other States where Etihad operates.
- Manage and direct the development, maintenance, administration and delivery of aviation security training courses and syllabus for Etihad staff and contracted security staff, who are managed/supervised by Etihad Aviation Security Department, in accordance with the Etihad ASTP and applicable regulations.
- Conduct training need assessments and develop suitable aviation security training courses, modules, and syllabus to support the business and provide the needed knowledge, skills, and competencies of relevant staff to enhance effectiveness of security measures and controls in accordance with Etihad standards and applicable regulations.
- Update and maintain the effectiveness and validity of Etihad aviation security trainings through continuous improvement of training materials, contents, and syllabus in accordance with business developments and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and direct the nomination of Etihad AVSEC instructors for UAE GCAA certification in accordance with Etihad ASTP and UAE NCASTP.
- Review, and accept on behalf of Post Holder AVSEC or delegate, the security training program of Etihad-contracted service providers with operational security functions to ensure compliance with Etihad standards and applicable regulations.
- Represent AVSEC Department during internal and external audits to cover AVSEC Training scopes.
- Perform other related tasks as may be directed by line manager or higher management, or their delegate.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or diploma, preferably in civil aviation security or training.
- At least 5 years in experience in civil aviation, preferably in aviation security or training.
- Must have successfully completed IATA/ICAO aviation security trainings, preferably IATA AVSEC diploma or ICAO AVSEC Professional Management programs.
- Must be UAE GCAA certified AVSEC instructor, or equivalent certification from ICAO/IATA or other States.
- Strong training and train-the-trainer skills and competencies.
- Strong background and knowledge of civil aviation security regulations.
- Fluent in both written and verbal English.
- High level computer literacy (MS Office, MS Office 365, MS Teams, LMS, etc.)
