Aviation Workshop Technician Teacher

Job description / Role

Reporting to the Vice Principal. To assist in the preparation and delivery of practical Aviation Engineering based subjects to students who are in the Diploma of Engineering Technology Programme. The incumbent is responsible for setting-up and assisting with workshop and laboratory practical lessons, maintaining tools and equipment and general housekeeping in accordance with the policies to ensure the quality of teaching and learning is maintained.
- Setting-up workshop and laboratory practical lessons
- Conduct / Assist practical workshop and laboratoryl essons
- Maintain records of tools, equipment and consumables
- Responsible for workshop and laboratory housekeeping
- To develop and maintain resources for practical lessons and courses
- Responsibility for the care, maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment in work shops and laboratories
- Develop and implement procedures for the preventative maintenance of tools and equipment
- Will have a teaching load of 8 classes per week

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Aircraft Maintenance/Electrical/Avionics is essential
- Professional Certificates in Aviation Maintenance are preferred
- Proficient in MS Office - IC3 / ICDLCertified
- Excellent English Skills to IELTS Academic Level of 7

Requirements

Required Experience:

Essential:
- Minimum 2 years experience of aircraft repairs on metal or composite structures
- Aircraft electrical or avionics repairs
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance
- Experience with Technical Educational field in similar capacity or instructor role is highly desirable

Monthly Salary Range:
- TAX FREE Monthly Salary equivalent to approx. of $2450 USD

Housing:
- Monthly Cash Housing Allowance equivalent to $1150 for Singles, for Married $1430 USD
- First 29 days employee stays in a hotel suite while looking for accommodation. (Assistance will be given)

- Equivqlent to $5400 USD approx. Cash Relocation Allowance given at beginning of contract. Half upon arrival and half after probation period

Health Insurance Coverage:
- Covered for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependents

Annual Air Tickets:
- Annual Return Air Fare for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependents

Leave:
- In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per the country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year

Dependant School Fees:
- Tuition Allowance up to equivqlent to $10800 USD yearly, maximum $5400 per dependent living in UAE
- This allowance to be used for tuition fees, exam fees, text books, uniform, school transport - (must show official invoices from the school)

Visa & Medical Check Fees:
- VISA fees and Medical check done in the country are paid for by the school for Employee only. Employee responsible for Visa costs for dependents

End Of Service Benefit:
- Receive 21 days basic salary for each full year of service, as per Labour Law. Plus economy air ticket to place of permanent residence for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependents

Contract Period:
- Open Contract - renewable yearly

Location:
- UAE

Paperwork Requirements:
- Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements

Start Date:
- September 2024
