Barista

Job description / Role

• Greet customers, ask their coffee preferences and take orders
• Initiate and indulge in a dialogue with customers as part of customer service by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu.
• Serve hot coffee quickly and efficiently
• Generates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products.
• Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Ensure that presentation and services are of highest quality at all times as per company standards.
• Ensure expiry policy is being implemented and strictly followed
• Ensuring that all necessary tools, coffee machine and related equipment are in good working condition
• Following cleaning procedures for the equipment as per company standards
• Receive and process customer payments

Requirements

• At least high school diploma
• At least 1 year experience working in a similar position
• High energy level
• Ability to be flexible
• Good communication skills
• Possess integrity, reliability and honesty
• Ability to handle people effectively, no matter how difficult they seem to be
