Bid Manager - Professional Services - Dubai

Our client, a leading and global professional services firm, is urgently recruiting a high calibre Bid/Proposals professional to help secure and deliver various major projects across the region. The successful candidate will work alongside business heads and take ownership for the production of large and complex proposals

This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management skills in a dynamic professional services environment.

Core responsibilities:
* Working with Sector Heads and BD Managers to forecast and manage resources required for upcoming proposals
* Management of proposals including submission of tender queries, organising review of terms and conditions, internal approvals, ordering of tender bonds, arrangement of internal bid reviews, management of bid programme, etc.
* Develop proposal strategy including storyboarding, development of USPs, competitor and SWOT analyses, etc.
* Develop a library of standard methodology text for proposals and make available across the Unit
* Develop library of project references for proposals and make available across the division
* Develop and keep updated key staff CVs with variations to suit different types of project/client
* Assist with production of post-tender presentations.
* Work with graphic design staff and Central BD team to improve visual quality of proposals

Requirements

* 6+ year's relevant Bid/Proposal Management experience
* 5+ years of proposal writing experience, business or technical writing/editing experience within professional services, financial services, engineering or oil & gas
* Previous responsibility for production of successful technical and financial proposals
* Strong business development, management, planning and leadership skills and a proven track record in winning work
* Understanding of commercial issues associated with submitting proposals
* Excellent project management skills including the ability to marshal resources, communicate and manage timelines and responsibilities
* Computer literate including Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and able to produce high-quality documents
* Familiarity with project financial statements and commercial terms and condition
* Strong English writing skills with attention to spelling and grammar.
