Billing & Collections Specialist (Abu Dhabi)
A leading global law firm, with prestigious offices in Abu Dhabi’s financial district has an exciting opportunity for a Billing & Collections Specialist to join their team. With an international reporting line, there is considerable responsibility and autonomy within this role, offering great scope for career development.
The role supports the Partners and Lawyers with the overall client billing and accounts receivables function across the UAE offices and others as may be assigned, including collections. There will be considerable client liaison; providing clients with statement of accounts, following up on past due invoices and providing supporting documentation of all correspondence between partners, secretaries, management and clients. A core function of the role minimizes write-offs by negotiating payment arrangements or settlements as necessary; and prepares, obtains approvals and submits write-offs as required.
The position sits in the Finance team and applicants will have strong analytical and financial acumen, with three – five years’ experience in a similar role. Candidates will be using a variety of financial applications, performing billing and accounts receivable activities and following up with billing attorneys to investigate outstanding Work in Process and to ensure the timely preparation and finalisation of bills to meet firm and departmental deadlines.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic; the role participates in departmental project teams and task forces designed to streamline workflow and/or resolve issues; assists with various firm and/or departmental projects and initiatives.
Strictest levels of confidentiality should be maintained at all times and candidates will display strong integrity and judgement. We are seeking excellent communicators who can interact effectively with all levels of management and staff within the firm as well as their international clients. Candidates should be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and be able to prioritise multiple assignments to accomplish results in an accurate and timely manner.
