BIM Technician

Job description / Role

We are looking for a skilled BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technician to join our team. The BIM Technician will be responsible for creating and managing digital models of construction projects, and collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop 3D models using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Coordinate and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and efficient modeling of construction projects.
- Assist in clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve design conflicts.
- Generate 2D drawings and documentation from 3D BIM models for construction and project coordination purposes.
- Ensure that BIM models comply with project standards and guidelines.
- Participate in model coordination meetings and provide input to improve project workflows.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a BIM Technician or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Familiarity with BIM standards and protocols such as COBie, IFC, and LOD.
- Relevant certification or training in BIM technology or related field is a plus.
