Job Description

As a Boiler Operator , you are responsible to operate or maintain stationary engines, boilers and other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings and / or industrial processes.

What you will be doing:

- Attend to boilers and equipment to supply and maintain steam or heat for buildings, marine vessels or operation of pneumatic tools
- Record test results on specified form and provide information to Superiors
- Test sample quality by using testing devices to ensure it meets specifications
- Operate, control and observe gauges to regulate heat and steam in order to ensure the machine is functionally properly
- Obtain samples from designated location on boiler and carry samples to testing laboratory
- Recognize, detect or assess problems through monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events or the environment
- Perform preventive maintenance and trouble shoot problems which can be resolved
- Suggest and recommend ideas for the improvement of maintenance and performance of the equipment
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
- Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

- Technical training certificate
- Minimum 02 years' experience in the field of steam boiler operation
- Boiler operator certificate
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Experience in the field is a strong asset

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
