The opportunity

The role

Business Analyst - Business Development/Executive Support

To provide executive support to the senior management and operational team, providing lead generation, coordination and key contact details, to assist the business development activity in the MENA region.

This position will be integral to the work winning effort and critical to the business plan being achieved. Working alongside the leadership team and becoming the central point for all market and target client intelligence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating market intelligence to support operational staff with their work winning efforts.
• Conducting market research to enhance our understanding and our ability to pursue new opportunities.
• Researching locations, sectors, clients and contacts for business development and work winning purposes.
• Building and maintaining a library of key clients and contacts in line with the business development strategy and business plan.
• Identifying the key decision makers within target client organisations and any specific procurement routes or strategies they employ.
• Developing concise and accurate contact lists for the senior management team and operational staff to use for business development purposes.
• Utilising digital networks including social networks, recruitment database, and industry publications to identify potential clients or projects.
• Managing and assigning qualified leads and key contact information for the operations teams to pursue new business opportunities.
• Tracking and reporting on the progress made by each stakeholder and collate meaningful feedback from their efforts.
• Working with other business units, work streams and departments to share, leverage and collate market intelligence.
• Tracking the conversion of pre-pipeline leads to pipelined opportunities and project award.
• Contributing and actively participating in CRM and business development meetings.

Requirements

Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include:

• Capability of managing large and diverse teams.
• Tenacious and self-motivated.
• Experience across more than one sector and at senior management grades.
• Lead generation and prospect management.
• In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry.
• Being a creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including social networking and data base tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high quality reports.
• Ability to confidently communicate with senior staff.
• Ability to influence and persuade senior staff.
• Ability to contribute with fresh ideas on strategy, business planning, and service delivery that will challenge normal practise.
• Confidence and presence to professionally represent Mace to a wide variety of external parties.

Qualifications

• A degree qualification is preferred.
• Professional memberships are an advantage but are not essential.
