Business Developer

An exciting new position has arisen to work for a leading international group who operate within the corporate/professional services industry. Dubai is their Middle Eastern Hub, and at this time they are seeking to hire an experienced, driven, results orientated Business Developer for the UAE.

As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for commercial/sales and business development related affairs of the Dubai office. Your focus will be on actively marketing their local service offering, as well as sell opportunities into their Group offices globally. The BD is working closely with the Managing Director, as well as the Business Unit Directors, Corporate Services Managers and Relationship Managers. And furthermore, you will form part of the Global Sales Team, a global sales initiative of the Group.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining business relationships with intermediaries and clients with a specific focus on the expansion of the group network with new intermediaries and new clients
• Growing the business by driving sales and business development by marketing the group to potential new clients; taking responsibility for local/global business proposals
• Identifying potential introducers and strategic partners and building and helping to maintain robust working relationships with these partners
• Developing and executing specific marketing initiatives aligned to broader business objectives
• Developing relationships with key clients, both locally and internationally, as well as developing new opportunities within the existing portfolio (cross-sell/up-sell)
• Helping in setting-up and on-boarding of proposed structures and optimizing client profitability
• Involving internal and external resources to achieve personal and company goals
• Liaising with global colleagues with regards to sell opportunities
• This role will require traveling on a regular basis and attending relevant industry events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in business development preferably in a corporate services environment, preferably working with Corporate clients and Law firms
• Has up to date legal and fiscal knowledge of the UAE corporate structure’s (DIFC, ADGM,DMCC and other Free Zones as well as mainland companies)
• Is a highly credible individual with intellectual ability and a “hands-on” mentality
• Has strategic awareness of business and commercial issues
• Possesses an understanding of relevant compliance & risk issues
• Obtained strong IT skills, including knowledge of document preparation, layout, editing and quality control
• Has excellent English language skills and at least one other language (Arabic would be considered as an advantage).
