Business Development Associate - Pharma

We are currently working in partnership with a leading global company, within the Pharmaceutical industry. Our client is seeking a Business Development Associate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, to develop and sustain the visible portfolio of this fantastic multinational organization. You will utilize your business and market knowledge to successfully execute tasks without direct supervision; therefore you must be able to work autonomously with little guidance. Your role will entail investigating the pipeline by evaluating current and future trends, utilizing market reports and identifying the gaps in the market for both set products and future potential products. Identifying specific licensing and local acquisition agreements, you will perform extensive market research and market evaluation, including the use of questionnaires and obtaining distributor and manufacturing feedback, perform and present profit and loss reports and track all new business development activities in order to generate relevant reports. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relations with a range of licensors, to ensure the stability of the company’s portfolio. This role will require you to coordinate and engage cross-functionally, with departments such as Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and Finance. You will also work in partnership with the sales and commercial team in order to develop the pipeline and monitor and track the progress on the assigned projects.

Requirements

In order to apply for this position, you will be educated to degree level within a pharmacy discipline. With at least 3 years’ regional experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical and sales/marketing industry, you must have good verbal and communication skills and high levels of attention to detail and confidentiality. You must have an analytical mind coupled with the ability to work under tight deadlines and you must be performance driven individual. Fluency in English is essential for this position with the addition of Arabic being a plus.
