Business Development Manager - Gas compression

Our client requires a Regional Business Development Manager to join on a permanent residential basis in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the sale of equipment, Integrated turnkey solutions and Build Own Operate Maintain (BOOM) projects generally sold direct to end users for hydrocarbon gas processing, treating and gas compression projects. The equipment the company provides for this market is primarily reciprocating compression, oil-flooded screw compressors, refrigeration systems, amine systems, TEG dehydration systems, dew point control and cryogenic plants are just some of the applications the Senior Sales position will be handling as well as incorporating the same in fully integrated turnkey solutions.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- All activities necessary to close profitable business for the company.
- Make regular sales calls to customer accounts comprising of end users and EPC companies.
- Research and identify potential customers for the company products and services
- Must have cold calling skills.
- Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions as required.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain the company products and services to customers and prospective customers.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions, features and benefits.
- Develop new and maintain existing client relationships.
- Good team leading ability and managing additional technical resources for meeting the account needs.
- Work and communicate well with all internal customers including Engineering and Service teams.
- Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products and to learn about industry developments as required.
- Some amount of travel will be required mainly within the region.

Requirements

Suitable candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred with a minimum of 5 or more years related experience with a proven track record. Experience with gas processing, treating and compression projects is required; Knowledge of integrating equipment in a total solution including construction and operations is preferred; Computer proficiency is required. Good working knowledge of typical Microsoft suite of software is required. Able to prioritize the work in multi-tasking environment. Able to meet tight deadlines, follow up on commitments and solve problems and communicate persuasively. Effective verbal and written skills. Must be a team player and self-motivated. Must have Arabic language skills.
