Job description / Role
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for a 9 month contract to cover maternity leave, for one of our prestigious international law firms in Dubai. The role will report to the Director of Business Development and is responsible for meeting the practice and business development needs of the UAE offices. The role will support and work closely with the Firm’s attorneys, advisors and staff, maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement to the firm’s procedures and client service. The role will raise the profile and reputation of the firm in the region, generate business and support existing client relationships in the Middle East, as well as wider firm relationships.
The successful candidate will also support partners in all aspects of business development, covering a wide portfolio of BD skills to include, new business proposals, strategy setting, client targeting and implementation on practice group business and action plans, coordinating and tracking the group’s efforts. The role will oversee and facilitate strong communication among and between practices disseminating research to teams on trends within the industry or area of law. There will be strong collaboration with the marketing and communications team to develop, prepare and distribute marketing and promotional materials and client mailings at partner level and promote the firm’s core values at all times.
We are seeking candidates who are degree educated, preferably in a marketing related field and who possess a minimum of five years’ experience within a professional services / partnership environment.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate evidence of strategy development through to delivery, team management and strong leadership skills, coupled with detailed regional knowledge of the GCC marketplace. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, including content delivery and editing skills.
