Business Development Manager for Startup in Events Industry - Female candidates preferred

Are you familiar with the event & entertainment industry? do you want to be part of a new startup that has the potential to step change the whole ecosystem? Well, keep reading!

We are building an online marketplace that aims to drive growth in the events industry across MENA, allowing a seamless connection between event planners & event providers – and that is just the start of it, as we aim to disrupt the whole ecosystem with more verticals.

But we just can’t do it without the right people! Hence, we are looking for a dynamic self-starter, who can see challenges as opportunities and is able to help us outperform the competition. The company is being launched in the toughest times and a cluttered market; many would advise to not launch! but we say - just do it but get the right people to help you succeed!

After all, we firmly believe that, IF we have similar products in the market - the key differentiator for success is the people doing the driving.

So, if you are someone who can juggle several hats, a born hustler, and can keep an authentic personality throughout the journey we would love to talk to you.

We will need you to help us in:
• Leading the acquisition of customers to the platform.
• Establishing a trusted and strategic advisor relationship to help drive the continued value of our products and services
• Serve as day-to-day contact for customers, building trust and rapport while identifying areas of opportunity, highlighting best practices, and documenting them.
• Facilitate interaction and the workflow between project team members, including third-party service providers, to ensure deliverables are on time.
• Collaborate, problem-solve, and/or strategize on the go to enhance the platform and our services.


You must be awesome at:
• Problem solving and negotiation. No challenge is too big for you.
• Sales Lead and customer retention. If you leave, our customers desert us.
• Self-starting and independent. No hand-holding, you initiate and lead.
• Have great communication skills, verbal and written. No customer can say no to you.
• Working from home, yoga studio, coffee shop, beach without the need to be in an office.
• Digital Marketing wizard – Know all about conversion across the Digital spectrum.

You must be good at:
• Basic knowledge of CRM.
• Analytical skills.

Experience required:
• 3-5 experience in customer-facing roles, marketing, digital, or sales.
• Experience in the event or entertainment industry is a plus
