Middle East Executive is currently in search of a Business Development Manager who specializes in freight forwarding with prior experience in a Third Party Logistics Company.

Our client is global player in the freight forwarding industry with sites in 25 countries and a forwarding network covering 150 countries. They are a group with the experience, infrastructure and global network to provide complex supply chain solutions for even the most demanding customers.

Job Description:

• Responsible for securing new customers and maintain / develop existing accounts.
• Meet and exceed target set in terms of contributing and generating Gross Profit
• Maintain records of sales visits on ‘salesforce’ on daily basis and as per KPI set
• Identify potential customers and register opportunities in Salesforce and pursue conversion of these opportunities into Revenue.
• Regularly visit existing accounts validating our service levels Vis-à-vis onboarding as per TOLL standards.
• Negotiate with the accounts as per price guidelines given, to maximize profits & develop new revenue streams.
• Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner.
• Knowing our product portfolio, competition, market and customers.
• Work closely with Operations and Documentation for smooth execution of shipments.
• Assimilate market information and take part in the overall business development through weekly / monthly sales meetings
• Follow up with clients for out-standing Payments along with the AR team and maintain a Low DSO level as per Set KPI.
• Any issues and disputes with customer to be escalated to the Country Sales Manager, to address and resolved immediately.
• Manage a Trade Lane with key stake holders
• Initiate dialogue with key decision makers (middle level managers) on products and draft a trade development strategy (both short and long term)
• Develop a client base by lead sharing and market intelligence between Trade lane
• Support and guide the local sales team & operations with trade lane specific traffic and issue.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 10 years of previous experience in forwarding business, knowledge of market and trade lane
• Management
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proven sales experience and contract negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meeting targets.
• Valid Drivers License
• Extrovert
• Ability to work with MS Office tools, knowledge of Sales Force system would be an advantage.
• Team player and skillful to deal with customers and colleagues.
