International Shipping/ Logistics Organisation

Join a well-established global Shipping & Logistics Organization as Business Development Manager.

The main purpose of your role is to promote and develop the LCL product Import & Export

Responsibilities:
• Support in the negotiations with Overseas agents on consol boxes in line with area Network Partner strategy
• Negotiate with offices on rebate schemes for transhipment services ex Jebel Ali
• Support the continuous evaluation and development with partners as part of the collaborative approach
• Negotiate rates with co-loaders on LCL
• Together with the Commercial manager – Freight & Logistics set targets for and lead the LCL sales team
• Monitor results for individual sales persons and coach them to optimal performance as per tools and measures set by the Commercial manager – Freight & Logistics
• Communicate with clients/forwarders to increase business.
• Assist Operations Manager – Ocean & Landside Service in solving any service issues with overseas agents/ local customers.
• Developing consol boxes with new agents.
• Follow up with the agents/local customers on the outstanding payments.
• Monitor competition both in local and international market.
• Closely monitor the accounts, adhere to company credit guidelines and regularly follow up on outstanding payments minimizing write-offs.

Accountabilities
• Responsible for the LCL revenue development in line with 5 year development Product Development Plan
• Responsible for meeting the budgeted product revenue
• Partially responsible for the Area LCL product through hub-activities and network agreements Middle East
• Responding to over-seas sales leads within 24 hours.
• Numbers of lost partners/ customers

Requirements

• Experience: 2 + Years experience in sales Freight Forwarding and Logistics (LCL services)
• Sales, Business Development, Key account development
• Current experience in the UAE market
• Holding UAE Driving License
• Preferably having an MBA
• Customers in hand
• Commercial LCL experience
• Dubai market knowledge
• Sound understanding of international shipping documentation
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills

Additional preferences
• Operational CFS knowledge
• NVOCC agency experience
• Contracting experience
