Job description / Role
Lead the efforts in deal origination for the Private Finance Program by liaising with UAE companies to promote UAE Private Financing in the development sector
Client Details
The client is a government entity whose primary vision is to grow the economy of developing countries with financial assistance in the form of loans, as well as other sources of funding.
Description
* Source and evaluate investment opportunities across target countries
* Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, banking and multilateral partners, and government officials to develop opportunities
* Accompany Government delegations to developing countries to understand investment opportunities for UAE companies
* Develop Country Potential Roadmap for countries assigned to them that will provides country-specific assessments and align Fund's priorities with those of target Government
* Oversee preparation of project appraisal reports for presentation to Director of Private Finance Department and Credit Committee
* Oversee the research and due diligence for project evaluation
* Conduct seminars across relevant private sectors in the UAE to highlight opportunities for investments in developing countries
* Evaluate, structure, negotiate, and close transactions
* Develop brief notes on potential deals to obtain Concept Clearance for detailed due diligence
* Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure all deals have appropriate documentation

Requirements
* Bachelor's in Finance / Business Administration
* CFA certified preferred
* 8 -10 years of experience in a similar role
* Experience within Business Development and/or Corporate Credit from a Commercial Bank or Development Fund
* Must be a UAE national
