Job description / Role
Our tech team provides and supports the systems that glue the business together. As importantly, they’re game changers for the industry. They bring us smart developments and advanced processes which revolutionise what we do. As part of that, you’ll build, manage and maintain the database platform for all our business systems. You’ll see that it goes beyond exceptional, every day.
What you’ll deliver
• You’ll work with all system owners so that we have a consolidated, centrally-managed and cost-effective database platform operation.
• The platform operates 24/7, and it’ll be your task to manage, operate and support it.
• You’ll provide project teams with subject matter experts.
• In addition, you’ll help technical and non-technical colleagues get the best out of the database.
• Lastly, you’ll move the business from legacy to cloud solutions such as DBaaS whenever possible, establishing standards, policies and procedures.

Requirements
• You should have a degree in IT, while PMP or ITILv3 Foundation qualifications would be ideal.
• You’ll need 5 – 7 years’ experience in managing complex technology systems and medium-sized teams in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills will be crucial.
• Your knowledge will cover RDBMS, Cloud Databases, Business Intelligence, Data Architecture and Data Warehouse tools.
• You’ll also be familiar with database replication and disaster recovery, XML, JavaScript and .Net.
• An understanding of industry trends will be essential – you’ll put us ahead of the game.
