Job description / Role
Responsibilities
The Draftsman is responsible for various tasks within the Technical Department, mainly focused on fabrication and installation of advertising assets. The position will require around 90 percent of working time in office, while 10 percent to be spent on site.
Under control of the Installation Supervisor to prepare the technical specification required for manufacturing
• Survey sites for obtaining the necessary measurements
• Outline design of the structures: light boxes, casings, supporting brackets, cladding etc.
• Produce various drawings, such as architectural layouts and plans, detailed drawings, fabrication drawings, electrical diagrams
• Draft manuals for assembling
Production
• Control quality of the products and conformance to design during production and upon supply by vendors
• Assist during quantitative and qualitative acceptance of goods at the warehouse upon delivery
Installation
• Support the installation crew with technical guidance during works on site
Administration
• Upon installation, prepare as built drawings for submission to stakeholders and internal users
• Keep database of the drawings and other Project related documentations updated
Requirements
• Skilled in AutoCAD 2D (3D is optional)
• Has recent employment history in the Middle East region
• Knows construction materials and principles
• Familiar with metalwork
• Has work experience in OOH Media or Signage manufacturing. Candidates from Civil Construction industry will nevertheless be considered
• Able to read civil and mechanical drawings
• Spatial thinking
• Ready to visit construction sites if required
• Soundly skilled in English, both speaking and writing; other languages (Arabic, Thai, French, Hindi, Urdu) preferable but not mandatory
Advantage will be given to candidates with:
• Experience in OOH Media companies
• UAE driving license
• Previous HSE trainings (IOSH, PASMA, IPAF, etc.)
