The opportunity
The Capital Equipment (CE) Valuation and Fixed Asset Management team operates within Valuation & Business Modelling (VBM), which is a fully integrated group providing Valuation, Modelling and Economic Advisory services.

Your key responsibilities
We are looking to recruit an analyst with some corporate finance and/or asset valuation experience in order to support the continued growth of our CE and wider VBM business. CE provides the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments which can last from a couple of weeks up to several months, working and leading a multi-disciplinary team. The focus of the CE team's valuation work may be divided into the following categories:

Valuation which includes elements of Financial reporting, Collateral and secured lending, commercial, taxation and corporate restructuring.

Fixed Asset Management which includes fixed asset register, Capital expenditure estimation and depreciation expense.

Skills and attributes for success

We are looking for Individuals who are proactive and can identify risks, issues and opportunities, suggesting simple, effective strategies to drive improvement. Building relationships with colleagues across the business, supporting them and promoting a collaborative culture will also be a key part of this role.

To qualify for the role you must have:
• A degree in Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• A genuine interest in financial strategy and a constantly updating understanding of current trends and issues
• Strong MS office skills, especially when modeling using Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by the confidence to work effectively in a high-energy, fast-moving environment
• The ability to influence colleagues and communicate complex concepts simply and effectively to non-technical audiences

Requirements

Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
• Proficiency in Arabic language skills are highly desirable
