Category Purchase Officer - Food Service

Our client, an established FMCG manufacturer based in Dubai are looking for a Category Purchase Officer who will be responsible for buying & the demand planning of raw materials (food) and packaging items (non-food) for their food service division.

Our client are leaders in the FMCG B2C market and are beginning to establish themselves as leading suppliers to the food service and catering industries.

Description

- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies by category (ingredients & packaging)
- Plan for smooth operation by efficient management & coordination of procurement, demand forecasting & production supply planning functions.
- Generate and distribute accurate purchase orders based on supplier selection criteria
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce cost and improve effectiveness
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Monitor and forecast price and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance
- Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking, Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
- Establish standard operating procedures for purchasing; monitor the effectiveness of procedures; revise and improve purchasing processes
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers to reduce cost
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries as per demand.
- Draft, review contracts, and modify terms and conditions; express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in written form.

Job Offer

- 10,000 - 12,000 AED per month

Requirements

The successful candidate must have the following experience and credentials:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- CIPS, Certified Purchasing Manager, Certified Contract Negotiator, CPPB, or other advanced certification in procurement and/or contract administration preferred.

Knowledge and Experience

- 5+ years' experience in the procurement of ingredients/packaging/flavours and the development and review of contracts
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- Interest in market dynamics along with a keen business sense
- Skilled in data analysis, negotiation and networking
- Solid judgement and sound decision making skills
- Previous experience in Dry Fruits, Nuts, Spices and other food commodities preferred.
- Knowledge in ERP, MRP (Microsoft Dynamics)
- Organized and Proactive with Excellent Communication Skills.
- Maturity of Judgement under Pressure and Ability to Resolve Problems without Delay.
- Strategic Thinking, Open to New Ideas.
- Good Communication & Negotiation Skills. Expert in Import/Export operations & familiar with Shipping Documents
- Expert in Statistical Analysis Methods and Cost Accounting
