Job description / Role
Fantastic opportunity working for an international bank with excellent potential to progress and become a pivotal part of their Compliance team. The Client ID Specialist will be the representative, both internally and externally, of the branch's Client ID function and will need to ensure that this function operates efficiently and effectively.
The role of the Client ID Specialist will include the following:
• Perform customer due diligence checks on new and existing clients as per local regulations and in accordance with the bank's global AML standards
• To review and ensure that all accounts being opened adheres to the DFSA requirements and bank's policies and procedures from a formalities perspective.
• To ensure that all accounts of a complex or high risk (PEP, high risk industries) nature are escalated to the senior compliance officers and senior management.
• To offer support and guidance to the Front Office on accounts being opened on the platform across the region.
• To provide regular training on account opening to all employees at the branch.
• To ensure no significant regulatory or audit findings with regards to the Client ID function in Dubai.
Requirements
• Must be Arabic Speaker
• Minimum of 3-5 years Relevant experience in a formalities or Client ID onboarding role
• Familiarity with AML regulations within international financial markets
• Completion of higher education (university degree - law, business administration or economics preferred)
