Certification and Labeling Specialist

Job description / Role

• Communication with the ministries and departments of UAE and other agencies on obtaining permits for the import of cosmetics and accessories, dietary supplement
• Preparation (collection and analysis of materials on products) and obtaining permits for the import of goods on the territory of the Middle East (Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia) and subsequent sale (certificates of conformity, laboratory tests and permits)
• Interaction with foreign suppliers on issues of conformity assessment of perfumery and cosmetic products, packaging, light industry products, dietary supplement
• Organization of product samples import: determination the required number of samples for each item, support for obtaining samples (interaction with courier services, logistics operators, customs brokers), analysis of the samples received, sending samples to the lab for testing
• Communication with testing laboratories on the issue of testing perfumes and cosmetics for compliance with GSO standards
• Collecting information for labeling products in accordance with the current legislation of the Middle East countries, getting confirmation from authorized bodies under Arabic labels correctness if necessary
• Monitoring of the legislation of the Middle East countries in the field of certification and customs clearance
• Accomplishment of other tasks assigned by the head, within the framework of the performance of functional duties

Requirements

• Knowledge of GSO standards and their application in the Middle East
• Experience in preparing and obtaining permits for the import and sale of goods in the Middle East
• Experience of interaction with state bodies on product certification issues
• Ability to work with a large amount of information
• Fluent Arabic and English
• Readiness for business trips
