Chief Accountant

Job description / Role

Our Client which is in to Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join their team in KSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This is a key leadership role that requires strong technical expertise in accounting and finance, as well as excellent communication and team management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and company policies
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial data
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to minimize risk and improve efficiency
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions, to support business operations and compliance requirements
- Contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting
- Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement and compliance

Salary:
AED 6,000 to 7,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred
- Fluency in Malayalam is mandatory
- Proven experience as a senior-level accountant or finance manager, with at least 8 years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial regulations, and reporting standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on accuracy, detail, and meeting deadlines
- High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct
