Chief Internal Auditor

Job description / Role

Client is a Dubai based leading group in the Middle East and GCC and looking to hire a new Chief Internal Auditor. The role will lead and set the Internal Audit strategy for the entire group across all regions in line with board direction. You will be a Qualified Accountant with experience both in Big Four/ Tier One Consultancies as well as Industry. You will have managed large group functions and have a dynamic and modern approach to Internal Audit.

The Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Leading the Internal Audit function across the group
* Execute strong internal controls across multiple brands and countries
* Driving cost efficiency's through process improvements, internal controls and risk management
* Establish the annual internal audit plan through business partnering with multiple senior stakeholders, the board and country heads
* Work closely with the Audit Committee on highlighting risk and develop the Internal Audit function
* Develop the talent within the Internal Audit function through training, and direction

Requirements

* Qualified Accountant/ MBA
* 12 years+ Experience within an Audit function
* Strong assurance background with key focus on internal controls, business processes and audit methodologies
* Have previous Board/ Exec level exposure
* Indian origin
* Strong business partnering experience combined with a leadership attitude
