Chief Technology Officer - Early-Stage Startup

Job description / Role

We're currently working with an extremely exciting healthtech startup, who are in search for their first Chief Technology Officer/ Tech lead.

They are looking for an exceptional & inspirational leader to help drive and build the tech team from the ground up. This individual will also be responsible for the development & strategy of their platform, including progressing their intuitive fitness product.

The company is an early stage startup, aimed at using state-of-the-art technology to help people of all ages to improve their fitness, and generally leading an all-round better life as well as aiding with rehabilitation. They have recently secured a healthy amount of funding, and want to push-on to evolve and grow even further.

They are in search for someone with extensive technical leadership experience, to build out the team and really drive the development strategy including the evolution of their product.

Responsibilities & skills required:

• Someone with hands-on technical leadership experience, with a passion for MI & Computer Visioning
• Previous experience in a high-growth startup, and the ability to help drive product vision & roadmap
• A proven track-record of building, scaling and leading engineering teams
• The ability to demonstrate experience with ML, AI & AR trends and developments
• Ideally someone with a keen interest in the fitness industry, and passionate about improving this
• Someone with a good knowledge and understanding of mobile apps, both Android & IOS

The location is based in UAE, offering a flexible working environment.

Salary:
USD 25,000 to 40,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:

• Identify, develop or deliver technology that enables the wonderful
• Able to lead technical strategic planning to maximize business goals by development and deployment of all products and services
• Leads creation of the technology vision for the business going forward balanced by a pragmatic determination to complete and finish projects to plan.
• Defines development standards, organization, and methodologies for the company, and coordinate architecture and plans across multiple product lines
• Collaborates closely with the business and customers to understand overall market requirements and help translate strategic and product priorities into technology roadmap plans

Desired Skills & Experience

• Solid understanding across all latest technologies impacting software development
• Experience with delivery of client facing products using Cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure with AWS or Google Cloud Platform suitable
• Experience with Agile development processes, particularly SCRUM methodology
• Understanding of reprographics and printing processes would be advantageous.
