EMR is an emerging markets foremost provider of recruitment solutions specialised in most industrial segments and key functions. We are currently working with a leading firm looking for a CHRO to be based in UAE.

Our client is in need of a CHRO to be part of a growing team of HR professionals in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organisation. To provide vision, leadership, general management and operational overview for the company’s Human Resources functions, ensuring that appropriate Human Resources transformational programs and services are delivered efficiently and effectively, in order to meet the company’s strategic objectives and compliance with Labor Laws and approved policies and procedures.

Responsibilities would include:

Serving as a Member of the Chief Executive Team
- Participating in strategic planning including the mission, vision, values, objectives, strategies, policies / procedures and associated metrics
- Collaborating with the Chief Executive Team on human capital deployment and operations throughout the company to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining strategic objectives
- Influencing leadership by establishing credibility, trust and rapport throughout the organisation to be an effective listener and problem solver of business and people issues
- Introducing and implementing strategic human resources and business service initiatives

Strategy and Planning
- Developing the function’s strategies in line with the company’s strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal incorporation with other interfacing functional strategies across the enterprise
- Directing the development of the function’s daily work plans and initiatives in line with the functional strategy
- Setting the processes of targets and goals and validating the Function’s KPIs
- Supporting the company’s business goals by ensuring adherence to the OPEX and CAPEX that are allocated in the budget for the function
- Developing and supervising key businesses, financial risk management and mitigation tactics within the function
- Closely observing and developing plans to improve the company’s Employee Value Proposition
- Leading and directing management changes through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices, taking into account international practices, standards and changes in the business environment that demand proactive action plans

Human Resources Management
- Leading and ensuring best-in-class recruitment strategies to meet the company’s strategic objectives and business plans
- Ensuring co-operation with all functions to develop detailed manpower plans in line with the company’s annual business plan and budget
- Participating in interviewing candidates for key positions in order to source, identify and select the best talent for the company and monitoring and approving the identification of recruitment agencies
- Leading the creation of strategic training and development plans to meet personal, professional and organisational needs and ensuring that the company has a learning and development competitive edge in attracting and retaining top talents
- Leading organisational designs, structuring and restructuring initiatives in order to ensure proper alignment with the company’s strategic orientation and plans
- Directing the company’s overall compensation, benefits and recognition programs, designs, implementation and continuous improvement to ensure fair and competitive pay that helps the company to attract and retain talents
- Enforcing the implementation of practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promoting a high level of employee morale

Budget
- Leading the Function’s annual budgeting cycle and directing the budgeting processes
- Monitoring the Function’s financial costs against the budgeting so that the Function is aware of anticipated costs or revenues and identifying the areas of poor performances and exploiting potential opportunities
- Directing the Function efficiently within the budget range and accurately reporting progress and challenges

People Management
- Participating in identifying and recruiting key talents for the Function
- Leading, mentoring and developing the Function’s teams to take larger and more complex responsibilities
- Leading and overseeing a clear top-down communication to employees and down-top feedback to the Executive Team
- Setting performance objectives, managing the activities and work of subordinates, providing necessary support and regular feedback on performance; then assess, in order to guarantee a high-performance working environment
- Providing development opportunities to maximise employees’ potentials and engagement

Requirements

- Master’s degree in HR or similar discipline with additional certifications (CIPD preferred)
- +15 years HR experience with last 5 years in an executive HR role and at least 5 years of international HR Experience
