Civil Inspector

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Inspector to join our team in UAE-Dubai. The Civil Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting civil construction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction techniques, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections of civil construction projects to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards
- Reviewing and interpreting project plans, drawings, and technical specifications
- Identifying and documenting construction defects, deviations from plans, and non-compliance issues
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve non-compliance issues
- Preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections and testing activities
- Monitoring and documenting construction progress, including the installation of materials and equipment
- Participating in construction meetings and providing technical input as needed
- Ensuring that safety and quality standards are upheld throughout the construction process

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Civil Inspector or in a similar role within the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, building codes, and construction standards
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and document construction defects and non-compliance issues
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Certification or licensure as a Civil Inspector or related field is a plus
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and quality standards
