Job Description

- Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability and EHS strategies aligned with the hotel's vision and objectives.
- Oversee resource usage, including energy, water, and waste management, to reduce consumption and minimize waste generation. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source sustainable products and services that meet EHS standards. Evaluate supplier practices and promote partnerships that align with our sustainability and safety objectives.
- Develop training programs to educate staff about sustainability practices, health, and safety protocols, and their role in implementation. Foster a culture of environmental awareness and safety consciousness among employees.
- Create materials and initiatives to educate guests about sustainability efforts and safety measures. Encourage guests to participate in eco-friendly practices and adhere to safety guidelines during their stay.
- Establish metrics to track progress towards sustainability and EHS goals, and generate regular reports for stakeholders. Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Engage with local communities to support sustainability initiatives, promote safety awareness, and build positive relationships. Participate in community events and collaborate with local organizations to drive change

Requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in sustainability management and EHS compliance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of environmental issues, sustainability principles, and EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
