Commercial Lawyer

Job description / Role

This opportunity is with a large Construction Company in Abu Dhabi.

We are looking for a Commercial Lawyer who will primarily provide legal services to the business. Being knowledgeable about legal topics is vital specifically in terms of trademark laws, debts, negotiating and drafting contracts, purchasing, and leasing. You will mainly interact with the clients, judges, colleagues, and others involved in a case.

Responsibilities
• Represent clients in courts and during legal proceedings.
• Negotiate contract terms and license agreements.
• Advise clients on legal consequences and litigation process.
• Prepare, write, and edit commercial reports.
• Draft and amend contracts.
• Review and oversee business mergers.
• Write commercial reports.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct research and analysis of legal problems.
• Guides strategic and financial decision making.
• Oversees and negotiates interactions with outside counsel.
• Advises senior staff on regulatory policy as it relates to business operations.
• Develops, implements, and maintains asset protection strategies and legal risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• Experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents.
• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
• Passed a state's written bar examination.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in law.
• Natural leader who displays sound judgment and attention to detail.
