Job description / Role
Position Title: Commis 1
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: up to 3.5K AED, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Location: Dubai, UAE
About the client:
High-end casual dining restaurant
Job Role:
- Prepares and cooks food and prepare ingredients as per requisitions, recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
- Completes all required checklists for each shift and makes daily production lists for his/her section in absence of the Chef de Partie
- Operates kitchen equipment and tools, ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Minimize spoilage, waste, proper storage and exercising strict portion control as per operating procedure
- Assists other chefs, measure ingredients, and clean stations
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Male, 35 years old and below
- 2 years of proven work experience in a high-end restaurant or high-quality restaurant environment, such as Michelin Star rated, or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Knowledgeable in HACCP general health & safety in the workplace
- Must be flexible in working hours
