Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role has responsibility for the successful implementation of Valtrans communication program in term of content, design, media and direct marketing (with focus on decision makers).

Successful delivery of these responsibilities will be achieved by working closely with Valtrans communication Consultant ‘the Consultant’ and collaboratively with all key internal and external stakeholders, whilst being self-driven and accountable in managing the workload on day to day basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Valtrans has made a significant business growth and achievements since its inception in 2003. The Company is now implementing a communication program to create a recognizable brand through a number of activities and tasks according to a well-defined agreed strategy and plan. The job holder will work closely with the Consultants through the following:
• Develop and deliver content strategy and plan that are in line with Valtrans vision, mission and business objectives. This content will be adapted to all Valtrans communication activities and materials.
• Develop and deliver key messages and sub messages that will be communicated to the market.
• Arrange and prepare the requirements for Valtrans top management engagement with the media and conferences which will include talking point and speeches.
• Develop and deliver designs that showcase Valtrans content in a creative and attractive manner. This will require the creation of Valtrans Design Guideline Manual.
• Brand custodianship for all the content and design to safeguard and enhance Valtrans image in the market.
• Manage the media and PR process which will include creating the PR Stories, transmitting it and managing the relation with the media.
• Enhancing and establishing Valtrans presence in the Social Media and other online platform such as Blogs.
• Managing the creation of content and production of marketing materials such as corporate brochures, videos, client newsletter, etc.
• Manage Valtrans participation in the external event with focus on leadership forums and industry specialized exhibition.
• Develop and manage direct marketing activities that will support the business growth through direct marketing that focus on decision makers (existing client, government and potential client).

Develop and manage media activities for Valtrans group that will be designed and tailor-made according to Valtrans target audience through the following:
• Owned Media such as website and digital media platform
• Earned Media publish PR stories and digital media activities
• Paid Media such as advertisement and the print and digital media

Requirements

• University Graduate Level
• Excellent proven communications skills
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in related fields/ Communication and Media
• Good communication skill in term of speaking, writing and presentation.
• Good understanding of the media environment and research capability to identify and capitalize on media exposure opportunities.
• Ability to engage and create good relations with the media.
• Good knowledge of the digital media. Experienced in Social Media is preferred.
• Able to effectively manage workload with changing requirements during challenging and changing times.
• Driver's License
