Communications Specialist, Professional Services Multinational, Dubai

OVERVIEW
Our client is currently looking for a Communications Specialist who can support Middle East Office in being more impactful and orthodox in external communications with clients as well as internal communications. In addition to helping our consultants design creative and effective documents/communications, this role will be responsible for building a robust communications capability/skillset in the Middle East by providing advice, coaching and training to the team on a wide variety of communications issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the client service teams to bring their deliverables and communication material to life. This involves reviewing and editing important documents intended for client use including client deliverables and presentations (PPT, Word, etc), client workshops, steering committees, executive meetings, memos, speeches, etc.
- Work with our client service teams to ensure fulfillment of best-in-class communication practices (e.g. pyramid principle, higher news to pages/words ratio, etc.)
- Build consultants’ communication skills (strategic, written, interpersonal) by designing and delivering coaching and training to individuals and teams
- Develop the Middle East office and firm’s thinking on and aspirations for communications by developing and packaging best practice, and by designing and implementing awareness-building initiatives

Requirements

- Currently based in the UAE or willing to relocate in 1 month or less.
- 6+ years of communications experience ideally in a journalism or management consultancy communication role.
- Exceptional written and spoken English language skills
- Proven content creation and editing experience with a business/finance focus.
- Strategic thinking, with strong critical reasoning and problem solving skills.
- Outstanding influencing, interpersonal, editing and writing skills.
- The presence to coach, train, and challenge partners, consultants and clients at all levels with credibility.
- Flexibility and the ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands.
- Self-motivation, with an appetite for working entrepreneurially in an unstructured and unsupervised environment.
- Team orientation, with a strong sense of commitment to team members and client impact.
