Job description / Role
The primary responsibility of the role will be to ensure all activities of the bank comply and adhere to rules and regulation of the central bank of UAE and country laws.
Other responsibilities include the following:
* Establishing, and maintaining CB circulars applicable to the company.
* Receive updates on CB circulars and maintain MIS log of all CBUAE commincation and ensure to recored for Audit propose
* Reporting STR/ Fraudulent customers to Central Bank based on approval from Senior Management
* Review company policies and department processes and provide feedback regarding respective department processes and suggest amendments (if necessary) to ensure that they are compliant with the internal
* Involve in business projects and new product launches as a representative from compliance . This would include reviewing (and revising) agreements, terms and conditions, other marketing collaterals (e.g. application forms, advertorials) etc as applicable.
* Establishing appropriate monitoring on credit cards from AML perspective and subsequent reporting to authorities.
* Ensure screening of customers for potential risk from high risk individuals and businesses.
* Ensure timely reporting of various reports to CBUAE and maintain MIS log of the same
* Assist Legal in review of some legal Contract/ Document and verification of Arabic clause
* Assist in drafting and translating of regulatory and police/ court communication.
Requirements
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work and produce results with multi-cultural team, knowledge in computer applications- word, excel etc
* Appropriate 8 years + experience in similar function of a financial institution
