Job description / Role
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager/MLRO Officer to head up our Compliance Department and ensure our company adheres to relevant regulations, legal standards and in-house policies. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters. You should be well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices, with high ethical standards and work diligently to complete duties, keeping in mind the objectives of the business.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal and regulatory guidelines and internal policies
• Evaluate the efficiency of controls and internal policies and improve them continuously
• Manage KYC on boarding for new and pre-exiting customer (KYC Refresh) by reviewing client documentation, vendor databases, and data entered into proprietary (CDD & monitoring of customers)
• Conduct internal audits and reviews at regular intervals to ensure that compliance procedures are regularly followed
• Train the employees on the laws and regulations, so there is no ambiguity in the compliance and risk for the jobs that they perform
• Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically as required
• Modify and implement company policies
• Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
• Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
• Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
Requirements:
Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as compliance manager/MLRO Officer (min 5 years)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of the UK industry’s standards and regulations
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
• A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
• Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
• An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Certified compliance professional
• Previous banking experience is a plus
Salary:
AED
15,000 to 20,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
