Our Middle East, North Africa and India hub started in 1998 and has successfully operated in a wide range of countries, delivering project & programme management and cost consultancy services.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Director, responsible for the strategy and delivery of a major part of the project.
Part of the senior management team in a client facing role.
Responsibilities Include
• Proactively drive the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
• Understand the overall management of all administrative, commercial and technical services required for the management of projects.
• Provide direction to planning, scheduling and engineering functions as required.
• Have in depth knowledge of design management and working with or within the professional design team.
• Have the necessary skills to undertake contract administration duties on a project.
• In depth knowledge of build-ability and construction methods.
• Responsible for managing and driving the nominated sub-contractors and main contractor.
• Responsible for the delivery of all site wide construction activities, through the supervision of all packages and relevant sub consultants and contractors.
• In-charge for the on-site management of construction activities at a senior level.
• Responsible for performance of the contractor and/or consultant construction supervision teams to confirm compliance with contractual requirements.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
• Lead and accountable for the performance of projects.
• Determine the team requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
Requirements
• Degree Qualification.
• Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential.
• 10+ years’ experience in Construction Management.
• Experience in major villa / low rise residential building projects.
• Previous Dubai experience is required for client approval.
• Excellent oral and written English
• Preference for candidates currently based in UAE
• Excellent organisation, management and commercial skills are essential.
• Good working knowledge of commercial principles affecting construction matters.
