Job description / Role
Our client is a main contractor specializing in infrastructure projects in the UAE and is currently seeking a Construction Manager with experience in Road and Bridge projects
the Role will entail the following:
- Direct and supervise all site personnel and subcontractors.
- Ensure that all civil activities are well planned and coordinated
- Oversee manpower, equipment, and materials to sustain the work efficiency
- Carry out inspections to ensure conformity with QA/QC specifications and requirements
- Provides technical advices to resolve problems.
- Coordinate with PM for procurement of tools and materials to conform to the workloads, plans and schedules.
- Review reports from Superintendents, and advise on corrective actions if project becomes behind schedule or over the budget.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years significant experience, with at least 5 years as Construction Manager on infrastructure projects
- MUST have extensive experience in Road and Bridge contracting projects
- 3 years experience UAE preferred .
- Experience overseeing Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Foreman’s, Charge hands and workers.
- Must be motivated and have strong leadership skills
- Must have knowledge of civil and structural codes
- Has excellent oral & written communication in English and interpersonal skills.
- Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma preferred
