Consultant Psychiatrist

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of patients to diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients, including medication management, therapy, and other interventions
- Provide ongoing monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes for patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients
- Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings to review patient progress and make recommendations for adjustments to treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in psychiatric care

Salary:
AED 55,000 to 65,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Valid license to practice as a psychiatrist in the UAE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Psychiatrist in a clinical setting
- Proven track record of providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
