Job description / Role
Essentially a startup division, within a well-established business across the UAE, the role of the Content Writer will be based in the Sharjah office and sit within a small team consisting of a Graphic Designer and Web Developer; all reporting into the Marketing Manager. The role will involve the establishing, writing and proof reading of all English language content and maintain a strong brand awareness in order to assist clients to establish their business in this particular freezone.
An innovative and creative Content Writer, who is able to develop a unique story and brand voice with engaging and consistent messaging is required, as you will be responsible for website content, blogs, press releases, marketing materials and proposals and all social media campaigns. The successful individual will also represent the organisation at regular corporate, networking and trade events and utilise this opportunity to not only gain further clients, but to also support this with exciting marketing content to further develop the brand once again.
Working closely with the Sales and Renewals teams you will have a strong understanding of SEO & SEM campaigns and experience of creating engaging customer feedback surveys through Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey and Paradot. Additionally, with a sound knowledge of Google Adwords and Analytics you will be expected to accurately measure the success of campaigns by assessing the additional number of new clients and further deep analysis. All relevant information is updated on the internal CMS daily and reported into the Marketing Manager on a weekly basis via excel and PowerPoint.
This is a highly collaborative role and therefore, strong communication and relationship development skills are essential. It is also required that the successful candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Content Writer role and be degree educated with a relevant degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or English Language.
Complete accuracy with regards to grammar, spelling and content in the English language to native standard is obligatory and all Arabic language translations will be further outsourced when required.
The ideal candidate will have exposure to the use of WordPress, Google Docs alongside SEO,SEM, survey tools and Google Analytics with the capability to provide engaging and focused content across all platforms. Those that can bring their “A” game on a daily basis to produce innovative campaigns to reflect industry trends and position the organisation in the #1 spot, will achieve success in this role.
