Control Room Engineer

Job description / Role

• Responsible to operate the power and water plant and making accurate and timely decisions on matters affecting plant processes and performance and consulting with the Shift Manager.
• The role requires practical experience of the technologies associated to operating a modern Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant, Desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment.
• In addition to possessing a detailed understanding of Company safety rules and practical application of such in the field.
• Performs plant start-ups and shutdown as required.
• Monitors chemical processes, sampling and water plant control for quality standards and environmental compliance and safety.
• Communication and cooperation with the Maintenance and Operation, Finance and Accounting, HR/Administration and HSE team.
• Liaise with Maintenance to identify and follow up plant defects;
• Prepares shift reports and trip reports etc.;
• Understanding of PWPA to ensure accurate commercial communication with LDC for operational issues.
• Supports review of operational procedures and trains subordinates for the change

Salary:
AED 40,000 to 44,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Must be an engineering diploma or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical.
• At least have 03 years of experience as Control Room Engineer in CCGT & OCGT operations.
• Experience in Water Generation plant based on MSF & RO would be an advantage.
• Ready to be located near site during the shift days
• Must be done with the national service
• Must be flexible with day or night shift
• The normal working hours is 02 day & 02 night shift of 12 Hrs. each and followed by 04 days week offs
