Employment: Full Time

The Company
Robert Half are exclusively working with our European MNC client on a Controlling and Planning Manager mandate in Dubai.

The Role
Provide support in terms of management accounting to different business units and the Executive Team, in developing the operational plan and assist in ensuring alignment to the corporate strategy.

Key Accountabilities:
• Provide guidance and financial insight to Business Unit Directors in regard to budget preparation and assist in ensuring that the budgets are aligned with the budget plan.
• Assist respective Business Units in monitoring and evaluating budget utilization to assess if budgets are utilized effectively and highlight issues identified for corrective actions.
• Collect data and submit Forecast figures to the Client MIS System according to the Headquarter Schedule.
• Support in strategic advisory on cost controlling tactics and recommendations for each business unit.
• Development and implementation of financial simulation models to enhance the financial independency.
• Analyze thoroughly with business units on development of Forecast Reporting and Long-Term Planning
• Analyzing each profit center to ensure the profitability of each business unit and provide recommendations where necessary
• Advice on financial matters, financial performance, and related issues
• Provide day to day management support and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
• Special focus of M&A projects (when opportunities arise)
• Develop detailed financial and commercial analysis and identify potential areas of sensitivity
• Play an important role in the growth and development of the organization
• Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance
• Evaluate financial reporting systems and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions to senior management
• Evaluation and Development Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for each Business Unit to monitor and steer the Work In Progress of each department - scoring model.
• Understand business models and select best approaches to improve their performance
• Analyzing data for trends
• Consulting business departments
• Knowledge of data and process modelling

Procurement Responsibilities
• Lead the development and implementation of the procurement policies and system
• Driving continuous improvement, best value and quality improvements within the team and department
• Leverage resources to support business goals and safeguard the organization against contractual and commercial risk
• Ensure all aspect of regulatory compliance are adhered to in regard to company requirements
• Develop effective and excellent collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
• Supervising the implementation of frameworks related to tender
• Leading and motivating the team to ensure they receive appropriate training and development to achieve their potential
• Promote importance of procurement across the company and best practices through continuous improvement

Requirements

The Successful Candidate must have:
• Be based in UAE already
• Experience from working for a MNC
• Procurement experience (see below)
• Very good English communication skills

Person Specification:
• Education: Essential: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting
• Experience: 5+ years in Accounting field
• Computer Skills: SAP Financial Module, Sage Saleslogix, Microsoft Office Applications, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint

Salary & Benefits
• 20-23k single status depending on experience. Medical, one annual flight back to home country and bonus comes on top.
