Job purpose:

Global Village is part of The Arab Media Group (AMG). It is the region’s leading family and cultural entertainment destination, which is committed to providing the best in entertainment and excellence in guest experience.

The Corporate Strategy and Change Manager is responsible for the creating and driving the corporate strategy at Global Village. Ensuring company-wide buy in, on the future strategic direction of the business in both the short term and long term.

There are six key areas which underpin the overall mandate of the Corporate Development Department. The individual will be responsible for strategy development, cross functional strategic initiatives and play a leading role in the execution of the Global Village strategic plan.

The individual must have the right personality and ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization, in order to embed the changes and transformation initiatives against a defined framework.

The development of the strategy will be based on market research and analytics utilizing both internal and external resources to create a rounded strategy that compliments the wider AMG level business units. The individual will also lead on future partnerships and M&A opportunities that align to the future direction and growth of Global Village.

Key Accountabilities

• To define Global Village’s, Mission, Vision and Values and align to all key stakeholders and embed the over-arching strategy to every single person in the business
• Lead projects or major project work-streams related to Global Village corporate strategy or corporate initiatives from shaping to successful execution
• Ownership of the Balanced Score Card implementation and ensuring departmental initiatives are on track and reported against in a consistent manner against a pre-determined strategic plan. Identifying shared departmental goals and ownership
• Develop long-term vision on the evolution of Global Village, the wider entertainment and shopping industry, competitive landscape, new technology developments and regulatory environment
• Work with the wider Corporate Development team to shape and inform our approach to M&A and strategic partnerships to execute the corporate strategy
• To support all investor conversations by developing a robust financial model / business case which shows projections and is clearly presented understood
• Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues
• Build out unique, creative and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Global Village and supporting collaborative and cross functional solution development
• Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for recommendations
• Work closely with departmental teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support
• Support the Business Development team in terms of new opportunities to in-source and assess future M&A and IP opportunities, as part of an agreed cycle, with processes and due diligence in place
• Develop and own a front end Management Information tool that utilizes the BI interface and brings in key KPM metrics and data from across the business, using AI and big data
• Communicate recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise and impactful way
• Ability to develop advanced and well-constructed powerpoint presentations for the Corporate Development team, the CEO and board level stakeholders in a fast paced environment with a quick turn-around time
• Creation and implementation of on-going change management plan to drive new behaviors related to the strategy and the living and breathing of the values across all departments
• Provide continuous coaching and training to Corporate Development team members as well as running further training initiatives to the wider business

Requirements

• Excellent strategy development skills acquired in a leading strategy consultancy or in a strategy role for a corporate
• Track record of leading teams to deliver strategic initiatives and advise senior executives
• Experience in and/or exposure to all sectors considered
• Ability to structure and lead complex cross-enterprise projects with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to carry out sophisticated financial modelling
• Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior management, heads of departments and all employee levels and external stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with leaders within
